Nuit Blanche is one of the most popular art events in Toronto and for those that aren’t familiar with it, the origins of this festival can be traced back to France. This art festival begins at sundown until sunrise of the next day and this is where the city becomes a large museum for contemporary art. During my trek downtown today, I came across one of the installations at Union Station that was getting ready to greet visitors tonight. While contemporary art isn’t for everyone, it’s always a good idea just to attend the festival at least once in order to soak in the atmosphere and experience what everyone has been talking about. Art is one of the universal languages.
